buy.at launches ContentEngine

August 26, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
buy.at, the UK’s largest independent affiliate network, is launching an application to push a dynamic product feed into specified, tailored content units on affiliate websites and web pages. This will ensure a merchant’s latest offers are kept up-to-date without any extra effort from the merchant or affiliate, which will increase the impact of the affiliate’s site and the potential sales. The affiliates and merchants will no longer have to work with product feeds.

Affiliates can design all aspects of the content units they display on their site including the size, layout, colours and product description in order to fit with their site using the ContentEngine wizard. Affiliates then add just one line of code to their site generated by the ContentEngine Wizard. This can be integrated using XML, javascript or using server side languages such as PHP to maintain the SEO value of the site content Every time a merchant changes any of their product details in the buy.at database, the content units are updated, immediately.

buy.at is also launching a HeadlineOffers feature, which can be used to promote the merchants top offers, sales items and seasonal products. It uses the same technology displaying the results within the content units by default.

Kevin Cornils, CEO of buy.at explains, ‘Our ContentEngine is an innovative application designed to deliver dynamic product content to affiliate sites without the need for a lot of coding and maintenance. Affiliates use a simple three step process to ensure their websites are kept updated which increases the impact of the content. We are working on further engines to enable affiliates to display more tailored and specific offers.’

Affiliate Kieron Donoghue, Director UK Offer Media adds, ‘Our site features the best discounts, offers, vouchers and freebies on the net so it’s essential to keep the content fresh and dynamic. The ContentEngine application from buy.at provides an easy way for us to keep our site up-to-date with all the latest products and offers from a range of retailers without having to spend too much time and effort. It is relevant tailored to the needs of the visitors to our site which increases conversion.’

The ContentEngine is integrated in buy.at’s Management Area which was recently overhauled to add customisable reports enabling partners to analyse and compare digital marketing channels more easily. Buy.at works with over 9,000 affiliates on programmes for merchants such as the AA, Carphone Warehouse, Capital One, John Lewis, Powergen and Virgin Media.
