Pinny Gniwisch, Ice.com founder and EVP of Marketing has been elected to the Board of Directors of Shop.org, the online division of the National Retail Federation (NRF). Mr. Gniwisch has been involved with Shop.org for the past 3 years as a speaker, Chairman of the New Member Services Committee and as part of the Content Committee.

Gniwisch is one of the youngest members to be elected to the Shop.org Board of Directors. His experience, however, is profound. Gniwisch spearheaded the Blog program for Ice.com, which was one of the first E-Commerce companies to use blogging as a PR and Marketing tool. This seasoned orator understands “the importance of meeting the online consumer from all directions of personal interest and at multiple points of exposure on the Net.”

Most importantly, Gniwisch seeks out non-conventional solutions and keeps an open mind when it comes to the Internet Marketing process, “My passion for limitless boundaries of the Web helps me to push others beyond the contours of traditional marketing” says Gniwisch.

Gniwisch’s curiosity is boundless and he continues to enjoy each new channel and idea that can get him closer to understanding the customer’s psyche and motivating him/her. Gniwisch says “I don’t believe in marketing by the book, but by whatever works – because there is no book for the Internet.”
