The Thank You Foundation to Hold Benefit for Wounded Soldier

CINCINNATI – August 28, 2007 – The Thank You Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to honoring veterans and active duty service members, today announced that it is having a benefit for Corporal Joel Dulashanti of Forest Park on Saturday, September 15, 2007 from 6-10 p.m. at the Chuck Cain VFW Post 7670 (4021 Hamilton-Trenton Rd in Hamilton, Ohio). Cpl Dulashanti was severely wounded in Afghanistan in May 2007, and as a result, his right leg was amputated from the knee down.

The featured entertainment for the evening will be a “Tribute to Elvis” starring Paul Halverstadt. Halverstadt a Cincinnati native, has competed and placed in several Elvis Tribute Artist contest and was a finalist in the Images of the King competition in Memphis in 2004.

The Dulashantis are currently residing at the Mologne House on the grounds of Walter Reed Army Medical Center while Joel goes through physical and occupational therapy. As a result of Joel’s treatment, the Dulashantis will not be able to attend the benefit.
