Kids eat free on Sundays at the Maynard

September 05, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News
Peak District hotel and restaurant The Maynard is bucking the trend of many high quality restaurants and actively encouraging children to dine at its AA rosette restaurant.

Starting from this week, any children under 10 will be able to choose from a children’s menu and eat free of charge, provided each accompanying adult orders at least two courses including a main meal from the a-la-carte menu. *terms and conditions apply, see below.

Paul Downing, director at The Maynard, said: “In many quality restaurants in the UK, children are not actively encouraged. We know this from experience as we have our own children and if we’re planning to eat out we often end up with a child-minding dilemma. Sundays in particular are traditionally a family day and we’re looking to make Sunday lunch at The Maynard a great day out for all the family.

”One under 10 will be allowed to eat free at Sunday lunch; if it’s successful we may look at extending it to other days of the week as well.”
