Scottsdale, Arizona (September 07, 2007) – twelve28 (www.twelve28.com), an Arizona-based development firm specializing in eco-friendly design, announced today the launch of two cutting-edge green communities. The Phoenix-based developments, 26forty and 52thirty, are scheduled to participate in the US Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for Homes program, a rating system that measures the energy performance, environmental impact, and occupant health of a specific development. Centrally located, both communities offer progressive style and modern design with luxury amenities and spectacular views. twelve28 will be taking reservations beginning November 2007 for the urban loft style condominiums.

“twelve28 was established to promote environmentally conscious and socially responsible development. Our stated purpose is to produce healthy, high-performance, climate appropriate dwellings that leverage existing infrastructure and central locations to reduce the overall environmental impact of development,” said Jerrott Willard, founder and president of twelve28. “Demonstrating our commitment to sustainable development, our current projects, 26Forty and 52Thirty, are two of only a handful of developments in the Valley scheduled to be submitted for the stringent USGBC LEED certification.”

Designed by Scottsdale-based Moran Architects, a leader in environmental design, the projects combine enhanced energy efficiency and resource conservation with the benefits of renewable technology and the use of recycled materials. Both communities are expected to exceed industry accepted standards and best practices for environmentally sound development.

26forty will be located at 2640 North 52nd Street in Phoenix, Arizona, and construction is tentatively scheduled to begin November 2007. Located near Camelback Mountain, the community will feature 16 loft style condominiums ranging from 1,300 sq. ft to 1,685 sq. ft with amenities that include European influenced kitchens, large walk-in closets, 2 car garages, and private terraces with expansive views of one of Arizona’s most prestigious natural landmarks, Camelback Mountain.

“Our projects will deliver the benefits of green design while offering the modern conveniences and amenities expected from a luxury home,” adds Willard. “Located within minutes of the best recreation, entertainment, dining and shopping hubs of Scottsdale, Phoenix and Tempe, these homes will provide modern, sustainable, urban living at a tremendous value.”

52thirty will be located at 5230 East Oak Street in Phoenix, Arizona, with construction expected to begin January 2008. The intimate community will feature 15 luxury homes, with breathtaking views of South Mountain and Camelback Mountain. The condominiums will range from 1,500 sq. ft. to 1,900 sq. ft. and will feature a dual master floor plan and optional roof terraces.

Both projects are tentatively scheduled to be completed late Fall 2008 and will come equipped “solar ready,” offering solar panels as an optional feature and will be energy efficient and conserve water usage, ultimately reducing costs to the homeowner while preserving the environment.

Future twelve28 projects are expected to be announced in 2008, for more about the company and its current developments visit www.twelve28.com.
