Frost Conservatories and Garden Buildings have been shortlisted at the BD building product innovation award for their innovative ventilation system for conservatories and orangeries.
The awards will be held at the 100% detail show 2007 at Olympia, London. The show starts 20th September and lasts until the 23rd. It is an industry excellent architects and specifiers show.

Frost conservatories manufacture and install bespoke hardwood structures. We specialise in unusual projects, in particular listed and contentious designs.

A discrete and unobtrusive way to ventilate conservatories, stables, bars and any vaulted roof structure. Our patented ‘Convent’ automatic air extraction systems are designed to be simply installed in the void between parallel roof members.

Positioned in the ridge of a vaulted roof, the ‘Convent’ ventilation unit will extract the warm stale air, drawing in fresh air from below.

The fans are maintenance free, with a programmable thermostat. We can also supply air inlets to be fitted in the windows which allow ventilation to continue even when windows and doors are shut.

The ‘Convent’ Unit:
The ‘Convent’ assembly comprises a sequentially controlled cylinder fan, damper and an easily accessed integral circuit board.
Each ‘Convent’ unit is supplied together with a power cable and six-stage thermostat/control unit.
The programming controls are simple to operate with integrated thermostat and LCD display screen which incorporates an internal battery to ensure that settings are kept through power cuts.
