Email Systems Protects Law Society of Scotland

September 13, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
The Law Society of Scotland, the governing body for Scottish solicitors has chosen to adopt Email Systems' award winning email management services in order to help protect its team of 140 from spam and viruses.

During the course of a trial, the service has filtered more than 830,000 messages, 684,000 thousand of which were filtered out as either spam or virus.

Email systems' acclaimed service will work in tandem with the Law Society's pre-existing software, to provide a 'belt and braces' approach to the issues of spam and viruses for their 140 employees. The employees benefit from the protection the system provides whilst being unaware and otherwise unaffected by its presence.

Richard MacLennan. IT Manager for the Law Society of Scotland commented:
"Although our existing system had been coping admirably, we needed something that could deal with potentially massive volumes of incoming mail. The Email Systems service operates in real time and gives us the reassurance that the majority of unwanted incoming mail will be dealt with before it hits us. Another major benefit for us is that our team doesn't have to manage or update the service in order for it to be effective - a real bonus in terms of time. I would certainly have no problem in recommending the service to other Scottish legal entities."

Neil Hammerton, CEO of Email Systems also commented:
"We understand that businesses within the legal sector must be compliant with the latest regulations - in particular with regard to the retrieval of information on demand. Whilst our anti spam and anti-virus services act as a primary form of protection for email borne threats, our email archiving service is an ideal solution for businesses that need immediate access to and full control of their archived data."

Recently awarded the highest possible grading - Check Mark Premium - in an independent evaluation by West Coast Labs, Email Systems manages and monitors the flow of spam and virus infected email messages on behalf of millions of corporate and public sector users across the UK.
