DALLAS – Anne Barr, President of The Franchise Network in Dallas announced today that the 2008 DFW Franchise Expo will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center. The Franchise Network is a Supplier Member of the International Franchise Association. Anne Barr is a CFE candidate with IFA.

Franchising in Texas is big business. According to the International Franchise Association, Texas is the second largest franchising state with 59,291 franchised businesses. Texas franchises employ 756,568 people with a yearly payroll over $17 billion and an economic output of $48 billion.

“We hosted 44 different franchise concepts at the 2007 DFW Franchise Expo and over 1,000 prospective franchisees attended from Texas and surrounding areas…we are looking forward to a great 2008 Expo,” says Anne Barr who produces the event. New features for the 2008 Expo include an improved booth layout, expanded marketing budget, enhanced PR campaign and an exhibitor lounge.

“We found the 2007 DFW Franchise Expo to be one of our most productive tradeshows this year. The quality of the prospects, the facility and the planning were all top notch,” said Russell Miller Vice President of Business Development at Huntington Learning Centers, Inc. “We have already awarded a new franchise and sold an existing location from this event! We anticipate we will have 2 more awards in the coming months. Sometimes a show like this is all it takes to jumpstart sales in a particular region. You can’t do this on the internet! The DFW Franchise Expo is a great opportunity to build your Brand in the Dallas/Fort Worth Market.”

Robert Boyce and Casey Daniel, Dallas/Fort Worth Area Developers for Johnny Brusco’s also gave an enthusiastic review of the 2007 show stating “Johnny Brusco's, a New York Style Pizzeria, launched an aggressive expansion plan for the DFW metroplex in 2007. 65% of the Franchises acquired in 2007 were a direct result of our attendance at the 2007 DFW Franchise Expo. It is a great venue and we are looking forward to the 2008 show.”

Fred Muse, CFE, Director of Franchising for Express Personnel Services said “I imagine everyone knows how very important and difficult it is for franchisors to find good qualified prospects. We have experienced a good flow of such candidates from our participation at the 2007 DFW Franchise EXPO, with men and women that move through the awards process to the close. Why? Because they are serious pre-qualified buyers. We would not miss such an opportunity and eagerly look forward to the 2008 DFW Franchise EXPO!”
