SCHLESINGER APPOINTED TO UNIVERSITY PRESS OF FLORIDA FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Gainesville, Fla. (September 15, 2007) –- Scott Schlesinger, a trial lawyer in the law firm of Sheldon J. Schlesinger, P.A., has been appointed to the University Press of Florida (UPF) Foundation Board of Directors.

“The UPF Foundation board of directors serve as extended ambassadors of the press and aid in the support of its mission, which is to publish work of scholarly, intellectual, or creative merit and general and regional interest and usefulness to the people of Florida,” said Andrea Dzavik, Associate Director at University Press of Florida. “Each individual member has a unique contribution to make based on his/her interests and expertise.”

Schlesinger worked closely with University Press of Florida over the last several years on the development of the book, Harold Newton, The Original Highwayman by Gary Monroe, in which several of the featured paintings are from his personal art collection.
