Motorcycles are an American Tradition. From the early 60s until today, nothing has captured the spirit of the wide open road as riding it on two wheels. The multi-billion dollar motorcycle market is seeing a new trend that is catching the attention of multiple companies around the nation. One such company, Two Wheel Travelers LLC, which provides transport services for cyclists who attend far away events, is tapping into this new market with much success. "It used to be that I dealt with all males, now almost 30% of my clients are women." ,says Karl Kautter, owner of Two Wheel Travelers.

Many of the women finding their way into this market do so through various means. For most, they have ridden with their husbands or significant other and fallen in love with the idea of riding on their own. A large number of female motorcycle clubs are sprouting up and their memberships are increasing everyday.

From lingerie lines to more colorful apparel, numerous companies are tailoring to this new market. "If women want to ride, I think that is great, Now my job is to make sure that they receive first-class treatment.", says Mr. Kautter. "We have begun to cater to women chapters, offering larger discounts, and purchased a second transporter with an air conditioned lounge that includes a separate lavatory and shower to accomadate the changes needed to make them comfortable."
