Brooklyn, New York, September 20, 2007 - TemplateMonster.com, the Internet's largest templates provider, now offers a new set of XML Flash Site Templates – a new product category that provides a new approach to Flash Site maintenance.

The main distinguishing feature of this new product is that data is loaded not from the text format (as it used to be in the old dynamic Flash sites) but from the XML file. This new system has a number of additional features, that enable you to add an unlimited amount of read-more-type links as well as the ability to switch the menu items with automatic proper page switches following.

XML (eXtensible Markup Language) is a W3C recommended markup language that is in fact a set of general syntax rules. XML is designed for storing structured data (instead of the existing database files) for exchange between programs and for developing more specific XML-based languages (like XHTML). XML is a simplified SGML subset.

XML-based languages (like RDF, RSS, MathML, XHTML, SVG) are formally described by themselves which allows you to modify and check the documents in a programming way without knowing their semantics (e.g. without knowing the meaning of the elements).

"We decided to start working with XML and to integrate this system into our Flash Templates because of XML's numerous advantages," says David Braun, CEO of TemplateMonster. "For example, this format is clearly understandable for both human and computer; XML supports Unicode and it doesn't depend upon a platform. XML is widely used today, which means it will be gratefully accepted by our customers."

The advantage of XML is in providing compatibility for different processing systems in transferring data, and this compatibility extends to the Flash Templates end product, as well as many other advantages.
