Kleiman Evangelista Eye Center to Sponsor Alzheimer's Memory Walk®

Today, Kleiman Evangelista Eye Center announced that they will be sponsoring the Alzheimer's Memory Walk in an effort to help raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's research. The ultimate goal of the Memory Walk is to find a cure for Alzheimer's.

Memory Walk is an annual, national fundraising event that takes place in a number of cities. Kleiman Evangelista Eye Center will be sponsoring the Arlington, TX walk. Drs. David Kleiman and Anthony Evangelista are excited to be a part of this essential cause. "Alzheimer's is a tragic, heart-wrenching disease and Kleiman Evangelista Eye Center is committed to doing whatever we can to help find a cure," said Dr. Kleiman.

As part of their sponsorship, Drs. Kleiman and Evangelista have pledged to donate their time, as well as their money. Numerous staff members will be on site to participate in the day's activities. "We support any cause that aims to improve quality of life. It's one of the reasons we get so excited about LASIK, and it's the only reason we need to support this important event," said Dr. Evangelista.

Memory Walk is a national fundraising event that has raised more than $225 million towards Alzheimer's research and awareness since 1989. The Arlington Memory Walk will take place on September 22, 2007. The walking distance is 2.2 miles and begins at the University of Texas-Arlington.
