Email Systems Shortlisted For Two Prestigious Awards

September 28, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Shortlisted for 'Security Vendor of the Year' at the Computer Reseller News (CRN) awards and the 'Service Provider' category at the Channel Network Awards (CNA), is a measure of Email Systems' success to date this year and a firm indication of its status in the market.
The Channel Network Awards awards, organised by BPL Business Media, recognise the best practices in client solutions and encourages channel partnerships and relationships across the whole of the IT, telephony, voice/data convergence and Internet industries. Claimed to be the only awards that recognise real world ICT solutions as well as channel partnerships, the Service Provider category fits within the section which focuses on the suppliers which support their channel partners.
The nomination for 'Security Vendor of the Year' award from Computer Reseller News is particularly prominent within the industry as it is based on a public voting system amongst the IT and business community. For this award, Email Systems will be competing against other major companies in the sector such as RSA, The Security Division of EMC and Juniper Networks.

The nominations cap an extremely busy and successful period for Email Systems. In the past 9 months, email and web management specialist Email Systems has achieved 106% growth in channel partners and grown revenue by 85% - in addition to adding numerous functions to its existing service, launching many new services, increased its market profile and tripling its sales team. The company has continued to invest in developing partner tools, resources and end user awareness campaigns throughout this period to support growth.

Neil Hammerton, CEO of Email Systems, commented: "To be nominated as a finalist for one award is a fantastic achievement but to be shortlisted for two in the space of a matter of weeks is incredible. We've all worked extremely hard to get to where we are and by beating off hundreds of applicants is a real accolade to the whole team - a genuine measure of Email Systems' current standing in the industry and our success to date in 2007".

Ian Moyse, head of UK Channels for Email Systems added:
"This is further validation and endorsement of our channel integrity and that we are delivering partners the ability to write revenue and good margins by selling our services. We will be continuing to add new tools for our partners in the coming months."

Craig MacAlpine of the Email Protection Agency commented "We have dealt with Email Systems now for several years and their channel integrity and tools keep getting better and better. We have seen increased interest in their services and found selling them is getting easier and easier."

The nominations follow a busy period for Email Systems with the announcement of numerous high profile deals including that with the Law Society of Scotland, the governing body for Scottish solicitors, for which the company will provide web protection for its team of 140. During the course of a trial, the service filtered more than 830,000 messages, 684,000 of which were filtered out as either spam or virus.

Recently awarded the highest possible grading - Check Mark Premium - in an independent evaluation by West Coast Labs, Email Systems manages and monitors the flow of spam and virus infected email messages on behalf of millions of corporate and public sector users across the UK.
