Welsh van retailer, Vansdirect, have recruited fellow Welsh company t2 business solutions to increase the sales of their current £100m turnover.

Now in its 10th year, Vansdirect employed t2 to introduce tailored training to their sales staff. The t2 training team adapted a ‘Professional Telephone Selling Skills’ training course, to which 65 of Van Directs 140 employees attended.

t2 business solutions, currently in their 11th year, provide tailored training to companies, creating a programme suitable for each client. This enables companies to have a bespoke service that would not be available elsewhere.

Glen Newman, Sales Director at Vansdirect said: “We chose t2 as our training provider due to reputation and capability. The programme that they created was ideal for our salespeople and consequently proved very effective.”

‘Professional telephone selling skills’ was created to raise awareness about selling, teach basic selling skills and advanced selling techniques. Aimed at all telesales professionals employed by Vans Direct, the tailored course ensured all aspects were relevant to the participants.

Created by t2, the course resulted in outstanding feedback from the Vansdirect employees. Almost 80% of participants deemed the training as excellent, totalling over 95% rating it as very good.

“Vansdirect is a successful and continually growing company, but an excellent company needs excellent staff, and we wanted to provide the necessary training for our employees. Everything was made relevant to Vansdirect, from the course notes to the practical exercises. We will certainly return to t2 for any future training or coaching.” Added Mr. Newman.

Rob Marr, Managing Director of t2 business solutions said: “It is satisfying to see such an excellent outcome from a tailored training course. Vansdirect knew what they wanted, and we created the ideal programme for them. The result of this has been very rewarding, and we look forward to working with them again in the future.”
