Chester Racecourse has briefed local marketing communications agency, Intermedia, to develop and deliver a fully integrated marketing campaign to promote this year’s eight major race fixtures. The new regional campaign launches at the beginning of this month and incorporates outdoor advertising, posters, banners, radio promotion, viral web DM programme and sales promotion for both Chester and Bangor-on-Dee racecourses. It will be the first time that either racecourse has implemented a sales promotion campaign, the first promotion will launch the May Festival, followed by Chester’s Polo Club in early June.

Melissa Hatton, Marketing Manager at Chester Racecourse, said: “Chester Races is an extremely popular local attraction and one of Cheshire’s main tourist destinations.”

“Intermedia has been tasked with identifying new routes to market and also in raising the profile of some of the less frequented fixtures in our calendar. The agency has been dedicated to detail and focused on fully integrating this campaign with the rest of our communications. ”

Nik Stapleton, MD of Intermedia said: “We’re thrilled to be working with such a well-regarded local attraction. The team is committed to producing creative, results-driven campaigns for national clients based throughout the UK and it’s a real honour to work with such a prestigious local brand.

“The team will be going ‘all out’ to produce the best campaigns for this year’s race meetings. It’s an odds-on favourite that we’ll succeed!”
