Troy Lund Wins Prize in Voices.com 60 Second Pitch Contest

October 03, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
Toronto, Canada - Familiar with the voice of Lt. Foster in Mech Assault I & II (X-Box)? That very same voice actor, Troy Lund, has just recently been awarded third place honours in the Voices.com 60 Second Pitch Contest, a contest wherein contestants submitted a 60 second elevator speech detailing who they are, information about their voice acting business, and also why people would benefit from working with them specifically.

As a voice actor, Troy is inspired by straightforward believability and having fun! In addition to his work as a voice actor, Troy rounds out his portfolio with music production services and licensing of music for film and TV. Starting out in voice over, his first step was getting a voice demo produced. Troy’s on-camera commercial agent started shopping it around and the work started to roll in. Several years of active music production and previous experience recording audiobooks were instrumental in his transition to voice acting, revealing that, “it came very naturally”.

When asked about how he came upon his recent success, Troy offered, “Figure out your brand and focus on it. Too many voice actors are all over the place. Once you define your brand, stick with it.”

Other awards Troy has won include 2nd place, Chuck D's Power to the People and the Beats Contest, RapStation.com.
