Marches Forward into the Web 2.0 World

Users of have started to notice some usability enhancements recently released to the public as part of web site’s ongoing Web 2.0 initiative. While the functionality of's site has remained a major draw to the since its initial launch in 2001, the site is now putting a higher focus on usability to improve the overall user experience.

Enhancements ranging from an easier rating system to allow users to rate their favorite beverage recipes to major performance improvements to the "My Bar" [] feature of the site which allows the users to find out what drink recipes they can make with the ingredients they have on hand.

"We want to make it easier for our visitors to interact with each other", said Adam Stout, design lead and owner of "Removing extra clicks and reducing full screen refreshes [by use of AJAX] has given us an edge in this area based on the feedback we've received".
