“As Malaysia’s top mobile infotainment provider, Maxis already has an impressive and innovative array of products, which is why we wanted to work with them,” said Prashant Gupta, Managing Director of Mobifusion’s India Center. “Together with ORG, we are able to quickly expand their product line and have already begun with an exciting and entertaining MMS Morphing program that lets mobile users to morph their likeness into that of a celebrity.”

“This collaboration between Maxis and Mobifusion is yet another first-to-market product from Maxis,” said T. Kugan, Maxis’ Head of Product Development and Infotainment Services. “Maxis has always been at the forefront of technology innovation in Malaysia, especially in new product development. Our customers are most often the first in Malaysia to explore innovative new services within the mobile environment.”

According to Pavan Mandhani, Mobifusion’s founder and CEO, the Maxis deal is further proof that Mobifusion’s cutting-edge technology and partnership with ORG is a perfect combination for telecom companies wishing to expand their mobile media content portfolio. “Mobile users worldwide want access to premium content while on the go and we’ve got the technology that delivers and overcomes the complexities traditionally associated with mobile device diversity. It’s a win-win situation for everyone, especially the mobile consumer.”

MMS Morphing features a suite of face-recognition technologies that allow Maxis customers to search for their celebrity look-alikes or morph their photos into new images. A face photo or mug-shot photo is sent via MMS and then the program’s advanced face-recognition technology matches the face against a database of international celebrities and sends back an MMS with a morphed sequence of the look-alike. The program also enables users to artistically create Picasso or Rembrandt-style portraits of themselves and also Manga look-alike versions. All MMS Applications are currently available at 0.50 Malaysia Ringgit (MYR).
