Imtech Telecom, a technical services provider that specialises in the design, build and maintenance of next generation networks, has been awarded European Systems Integrator of the Year by World Wide Packets (WWP), the leading provider of carrier Ethernet solutions. The award recognises Imtech Telecom’s capability and success in selling, deploying and integrating World Wide Packets’ LightningEdge range of Ethernet-based solutions.

Imtech Telecom plays an integral role in rolling out World Wide Packets’ leading Ethernet-based solutions to service providers and private network operators across Europe, through its dedicated Ethernet sales, technical and engineering team. Most recently, the systems integrator has successfully launched WWP’s new LightningEdge 3300 (LE-3300) Service Aggregation Switch and is undertaking a major implementation within a large private operator’s next generation Ethernet-based service.

Andy Charalambous, Vice President EMEA Sales at World Wide Packets, said: “Imtech has been instrumental in generating market share for WWP across Europe and their knowledge and experience of the market has been invaluable to the development of our product roadmap. This award is a testimony to Imtech’s service delivery and proven track record.”

The World Wide Packets LightningEdge suite of Carrier Ethernet solutions offers service providers the resiliency, flexibility and scalability required to deliver the next generation of revenue-generating Ethernet services. Imtech Telecom has offered the LightningEdge product suite as part of its technology portfolio since 2003. The company also offers a range of value-added network services through its Connect managed services programme, including consultancy, design, installation, operations and maintenance, and project management.

James Morgan, managing director of Imtech Telecom UK, added: “Today’s businesses and consumers are demanding ever faster and more cost-effective services. By offering World Wide Packets’ LightningEdge portfolio, we can ensure European service providers can take advantage of Carrier Ethernet solutions that will allow them to reduce costs for their customers without compromising on quality of service.”
