Phoenix, Ariz. (October 20, 2007)—Phoenix Fashion Week (www.phoenixfashionweek.com), one of the Southwest’s largest fashion events, announced today the launch of the third-annual fashion week from Nov 5 – Nov 8. The event bridges Arizona with national and international designers and top retail buyers from around the world, and will feature over 30 runway shows highlighting spring fashions. Phoenix Fashion Week (PFW) will be held at the Southbridge Fashion District (The Mix Shops) and will mark the launch of Arizona’s only multi-use fashion flex space that features a high-end retail-shopping enclave.

Twenty international designers from New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, Paris, Boston, Canada, Argentina and Italy will join with Arizona’s top 10 boutiques to present 30 runway shows previewing their spring 2008 collections.

The PFW is proud to present the first-ever B.A.R. (buyers and reps) wholesale market show and a myriad of education and charity events. Created to facilitate the business of fashion, the inaugural B.A.R. wholesale market event will happen daily throughout fashion week, from Nov 6-8. Retail buyers and media personnel are welcome to peruse the spring 2008 runway collections with designers and their representatives, who will be on hand to place orders and answer questions.

PFW is dedicated to global awareness, charity and education. This year’s fashion week will include fashion education workshops sponsored by the Art Institute of Phoenix. (AIPX) In partnership with AIPX, PFW is proud to present a $40,000 fashion marketing scholarship to an Arizona high school senior through the “Fashion and Global Humanity” project. The four-day fashion fête also includes The Celebrity Charity Fashion Show and Charity Gala Event on Nov 5 that includes a charity auction benefiting the Partners in Malawi organization and the HIV Wellness Centre in Malawi, Africa.
