Seattle, WA, Oct 20, 2007 - Lowell Henderson, founder of Seattle Innovative Design ( www.seattleinnovativedesign.com ), a Seattle website design studio, will present "Content is King: How to publish your content in the digital age" for the The Seattle Association of Black Journalist’s Student Career Workshop, Saturday, October 20th. The workshop will be held from 8:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the African-American Academy, 8311 Beacon Avenue South, 98118.

The free workshop gives high school and college students the opportunity to learn about career opportunities in journalism from top African American journalists and media professionals. Areas covered include newspaper, radio, television and on-line media.
“Teaching youth about the internet and the multiple media formats available for expressing themselves in the online medium will help youth understand the power of their own voice ” claims Lowell Henderson, owner and founder of Seattle Innovative Design. “Having someone from their community provide knowledge that can help shape their creative development and encourage communication will positively add to their sense of self-esteem.”
The workshop "Content is King: How to publish your content in the digital age" will provide youth the chance to engage in an informative interactive session with live online demonstrations of some of the most popular forms of expression on the internet. A question and answer period will allow the students an opportunity to ask about media content, fair use, and techniques for getting content viewed online.
