"Earth Kids" Wins 2 Best Screenplay Awards at 2007 KIDS FIRST!® Film Festival

Los Angeles, Ca., Oct. 24, 2007: "Earth Kids", the family feature screenplay by writer/director Arlene Bogna and writer Nicole Schubert has won the 2007 Best Screenplay Award from the 2007 KIDS FIRST!® Film Festival. The writing duo also received the Screenplay Award from festival sponsor Feature Films for Families, a film production and distribution company. Arlene Bogna and Nicole Schubert are currently working on their next feature script/project—a female action buddy comedy that Arlene is attached to direct.

2007 KIDS FIRST!® Awards:

The 2007 KIDS FIRST!® Awards Ceremony was held at the Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, Ca. Also honored were children's entertainer and book writer Mallory Lewis (Phonics 4 Babies), who received the 2007 KIDS FIRST!® Palmer-Vision Award for her contributions to children's programming, Carly Shroeder (Eye of the Dolphin) who won Best Emerging Actress, and Zach Mills (Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium) who received Best Emerging Actor. Winning the Best of Fest films were Charlotte's Web, Paramount; Firehouse Dog, 20th Century Fox; Viola, James Marcus Haney; My Backyard Was A Mountain, Palmavejo Films and Phonics 4 Babies, Starz Home Entertainment.

The Coalition For Quality Children's Media (www.kidsfirst.org) created the KIDS FIRST!® program to evaluate, rate and endorse feature films, DVDs, videos, CDs and TV for children.
