Why Google Loves Press Releases (Again)

If you’d like to see your brand “In the News”, featured above Google search results, then you’re going to love what I have to share with you today.

Here’s why: In March, a Google spokesperson told Reuters: “The goal of search is to get users the right answer at any one time as quickly as possible — that may mean returning an article from an established publisher or from a smaller niche publisher or indeed it might be a press release,” the Google spokeswoman said.

According to Glean.info, “Corporate press releases can now outrank media articles on the same topic due to a little-known change in Google’s algorithm”.
