TRENTON, NJ – As part of its company launch, Novita Issue Communications is recording free radio news releases – or pod releases – for lobbyists, associations and issue groups.

Founded by New Jersey public relations and State House scene veteran Ernie Landante, Novita provides public relations and campaign services for federal, state and community public policy and to address legislative issues. The firm boasts as being one of the state’s most creative issue communications agencies.

“For your issue to be taken seriously, you need a compelling message delivered assertively, and using breakthrough communications,” said Landante. “By combining new technology, traditional media relations and creative strategic thinking, we are able grab the audience’s attention to get our client’s message heard.”

Novita is giving away pod releases so that others can appreciate New Media’s power in traditional public relations tactics and issue advocacy campaigns. Podcasting is an easy way to record audio files, and to broadcast them to targeted and potentially large audiences via Web and e-mail links and free Internet subscription feeds.

The agency provides traditional issue campaign services, including media relations, message development, spokesperson services, opinion article and speech writing, news releases and news conference coordination and logistics. Novita also provides print and radio advertising, Web site development and audio and video news release production. The company’s training services include courses in handling the media and in managing a hostile public meeting.

“We’re not lobbyists, but we support lobbyists and their clients,” said Landante. “We provide them full campaign services to communicate their message to reporters, editorial writers, legislators, their staffs and constituents and the general public.”

Joining Landante at Novita are Allison Salerno and J.R. Dunn. Salerno spent 15 years in daily newspapers, where her work as an editorial writer won her statewide awards. Dunn is an award-winning writer and editor with nearly twenty-years’ experience in the academic, corporate and public relations fields, and is the author of six novels.

Landante has been in and around New Jersey’s State House for more than 20 years, having served elected leaders — former New Jersey Assembly Speaker Chuck Hardwick, U.S. representative Rodney P. Frelinghuysen, Assemblyman Jack Penn, State Senator William Gormley and the late Assemblywoman Joann H. Smith — and major international corporations — Lloyds of London, CSX Corporation, Westfield Corporation and Allstate Insurance Company. On the association and issue management front, Landante has represented the American Blood Resources Association, the Coalition for Auto Insurance Competition, the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Rahway Hospital, Keep New Jersey Moving and others.

Landante’s public relations and issue communications work has earned several prestigious awards, including the Golden World Award for Excellence (International Public Relations Association), the Pollie Award (American Association of Political Consultants), the IRIS Award (International Association of Business Communicators), the Jasper Award (Jersey Shore Public Relations and Advertising Association), the Pyramid Award (Public Relations Society of America/New Jersey Chapter), the Big Apple Award (Public Relations Society of America/New York Chapter) and the Platinum PR Award (PR News).
