Savannah, Georgia, – Buy the Farm, LLC, the holding and management company for "Farmers' Almanac TV"TM has tapped a television veteran, Bob Gutkowski, to be the newest member of its board. The appointment marks the first time the Savannah-based holding company has reached out to an entertainment executive who has close ties to the television and entertainment investment community.

"We are very excited that Mr. Gutkowski has agreed to join our board,'' said Bill Chisholm," Chairman of the Buy the Farm. "Mr. Gutkowski has a track record for significantly increasing the value of sports and entertainment networks - and we believe he will help us reach all our growth milestones."

Buy the Farm, LLC is a multi-media start-up that produces and distributes video for cable and satellite, as well as IPTV and Internet Television. It has secured the exclusive license to use all copyrighted material and stylized trademark materials of the Farmers’ AlmanacTM for both television and video production.

The Company currently produces a magazine-style show for national public television, “Farmers’ Almanac TV.” It just debuted, “Farmers’ Almanac TV Presents” on the newly launched cable channel BlueHighways TV. And, Buy the Farm owns and operates three web sites: FarmersAlmanacTV.com, WayOutWeather.com and BuyTheFarmLLC.com.

Buy the Farm is interested in increasing its video production capabilities, as well as expanding its distribution opportunities for its weather, cooking and other lifestyle programming, inspired by the Farmers’ Almanac.

“We believe Bob will help take the Company to the next level by introducing us to some of the key decision makers in the entertainment world, “ Chisholm said.

Among his many achievements, Mr. Gutkowski served as President of Madison Square Garden and was responsible for negotiating the landmark, twelve-year $486 million deal to telecast New York Yankees baseball, helping the MSG network become the nation’s largest and most profitable regional sports network.

He also spent 15 years in the sports and television business, serving as vice president of the Paramount Television Domestic Distribution Advertiser Sales Group; vice president of programming at ESPN; director of sports sales for NBC, and multiple other positions.

Mr. Gutkowski recently formed Marketing Group International, a firm that works closely with private equity funds to identify potential investments in the sports, entertainment and fashion management, marketing and content sectors.

Mr. Gutkowski is the sixth member of the Buy The Farm board. The other members are:

• Stanley E. Hitchcock, founder of BlueHighways TV
• Henry Minis, Former CEO of Carson Company, a large privately held business acquired by L’Oreal in 1995.
• James Turner, Jr., the sole shareholder of J.T. Turner Construction Co., Inc.
• Bill Chisholm, CEO of Farmers’ Almanac TV and Chairman of Buy the Farm, LLC.
