Airfoil Public Relations expands national team

Southfield, Mich. and Mountain View, Calif., April 20, 2011 – Airfoil Public Relations, an independent public relations agency specializing in public relations and marketing communications for technology companies, has added nine employees to its account and operations teams in Southfield, Mich., and Mountain View, Calif. and plans to add more.

Katy Teer joined Airfoil as a senior account executive, and manages day-to-day communication activities for technology and healthcare accounts. Prior to joining the agency, Katy was a public relations and marketing consultant at Terumo Heart, Inc.

With a strong background in consumer media, Kristen Berry joined Airfoil as a senior account executive, and currently manages and executes initiatives for a select group of Airfoil's consumer technology accounts.

Sadie Kelly, the company's most recently hired senior account executive, joins Airfoil with public relations experience on a wide range of consumer and healthcare accounts. She will execute against initiatives for a core set of software clients.

With three years of agency experience on automotive, healthcare and retail accounts, Elaine Marquis joined Airfoil as an account executive, supporting a core set of software clients.

Airfoil has also hired three account coordinators: Dave Niemiec; Lindsay Karpinskas; and Oriana Camacho. Prior to Airfoil, Niemiec served as an intern for the "Karsch and Anderson Show" on 97.1 WXYT-FM. Karpinskas served as public relations coordinator for the Live to Give Foundation. Camacho was previously in charge of internal and external communications for nonprofit group Women Impacting Public Policy.

On the operations side, Nicole Steward joined Airfoil's California office to manage office operations and provide administrative support to the leadership team. Zakia Beshara joined the Michigan office as an operations assistant, working with the human resources and finance teams to provide support for a variety of office functions.
