New York, NY – December 7, 2006 – Professional stand-up comedians David Beck and Averell Carter have embarked on forming TWWD (That’s What We Do) Productions. A production company set on meeting the needs of families and their loved ones who can’t always be present in body, but you can always be there in the Spirit of love. On Saturday, February 10th 2007, TWWD Productions is poised to produce a concert that will be available worldwide, for couples everywhere but specifically designed for our soldiers and their families. Affectionately called, The Together for Valentine’s Day Concert – A Salute to Romance, this will be an evening of love, music, and comedy live from the Ferguson Center for the Arts. The Ferguson Center for the Arts is a state of the art facility on the campus of Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA. The show will then be webcast on February 14th so couples everywhere will be able to enjoy this special evening together.

According to both men, “We have traveled across this great nation to perform, and been away from home for weeks on end, but at least we are still in the same country. It used to be easy to complain about the time away, until we started talking to people in the military after our shows. Talk long enough and you start to hear the stories from the families or soldiers themselves of how hard it is to be apart, and still do their job of serving this country.”

With their busy schedules and responsibilities to their families, both Dave and Averell have unfortunately spent unending hours away from home as well. On their comedy tours, they are often asked about those many hours and days they send away and the toll it takes on them and those they love, collectively, they had a stock answer: That’s What We Do; birthing, TWWD Productions.

Sharing their comedic genius, both gentlemen will be participating in the show. David, who has become known for his off-kilter way of thinking and keen eye for observation while at the same time, couples nationwide have enjoyed his unique, yet relatable look at the marriage landscape. Joining Dave will be Averell whose show is one part clean, the other part clever, and a spoonful of everyday life.

Closing the show will be multi-platinum husband and wife recording artists Kenny Lattimore & Chante Moore. Their sultry ballads and smooth jazz anthems have garnered them a huge following with couples worldwide.

Dave and Averell are dedicated to giving back to their community, so since the show is being webcast from an institution of higher learning and in keeping with our gratitude to the armed forces, a minimum of 10% of the ticket sales will be donated to the Freedom Alliance. The Freedom Alliance is a scholarship for the children of military men and women who have sacrificed for this country.

Presently in the process of seeking further sponsorship and gearing up for next year’s event, TWWD Productions, is preparing for this to be the beginning of many more family oriented events to come.
