Bloomington Minnesota, March 2007 – Digital asset management software leader, Ancept, and JumpTV Inc., the world's leading broadcaster of ethnic television over the Internet sign an agreement to deploy an enterprise solution to manage content for JumpTV’s 270+ Internet TV channels.

The system will provide a means for JumpTV employees to manage thousands of hours of programming in a structured and secure environment while automating several tasks; such as content capture and scheduling and allowing users who edit, process, and approve content to collaborate on-line.

“The promise of IPTV and Internet Television is turning traditional video broadcast models upside-down and JumpTV is leading this trend globally,” says Ancept President Dave Bogie. “This new model brings with it greater needs for structured, secure and scalable content management capabilities, especially as content owners and contributors proliferate. Ancept is committed to providing such capabilities to companies like JumpTV to help them with these very significant content management challenges.”

IPTV, or Internet ProtocolTelevision, is a method of distributing television content over IP (Internet Protocol) that enables a more customized and interactive user experience and more targeted and unique programming. Programming is received over a user’s internet connection, usually a broadband connection, and can be viewed on personal computers, televisions or handheld devices.

“With more than 270 channels of programming in over 70 countries, we manage a significant amount of content. Managing that content in an effective and efficient manner is a top priority,” says Kriss Bush, Chief Financial Officer at JumpTV. “We chose Ancept to help us with this because of their track record with other media companies and key partnerships and their long-standing relationship with IBM. The AMS product will be the infrastructure that manages the business processes involved with repurposing our content over a global network”
