R&J Public Relations Wins “Best of Show” at the 17th Annual PRSA New Jersey Pyramid Awards

Bridgewater, N.J. (June 2007) – R&J Public Relations took home five awards, including the “Best of Show” award for excellence in Public Relations at the 17th Annual Pyramid Awards Banquet, recently hosted by the Public Relations Society of America - New Jersey Chapter in West Orange, N.J. The Pyramid Awards recognize excellence in public relations practice, as judged by a panel of public relations professionals from agencies, corporate communications departments and the public sector.

“It is an honor to be recognized by our respected peers in public relations for excellence in planning and execution of strategic campaigns for our clients,” said John Lonsdorf, President of R&J Public Relations. “We are especially pleased that one of our programs was singled out as Best of Show, from among a very impressive body of PR work produced by the best agencies in the state. R&J received its “Best of Show” award for its work on behalf of Falcon Safety Products, of Branchburg, N.J., in the category of Public/Governmental Affairs for the company’s Inhalant Abuse Educational Campaign. This national public awareness campaign helped elevate Falcon’s existing outreach to bring exposure and attention to the growing problem of inhalant abuse among teens in the U.S.

R&J was recognized with four Pyramid Awards for its work on behalf of:
• Good Samaritan Hospital of Suffern, N.Y., in the category of Special Programs (Project Leader: John Lonsdorf, President)
• New Jersey Fire Sprinkler Advisory Board of Waldwick, N.J., in the category of Special Events (Project Leader: Monica Talmud, Senior Account Executive)
• Falcon Safety Products, of Branchburg, N.J., in the category of Public/Governmental Affairs (Project Leader: Kyle Kappmeier, Account Executive)
• New Jersey Fire Sprinkler Advisory Board of Waldwick, N.J., in the category of Online/Interactive Technology (Project Leader: Monica Talmud, Senior Account Executive)
